Shared albums usually mean handing your memories to a platform. Here is how end-to-end encrypted sharing works without a middleman reading along.

Sharing a photo album should not mean the platform gets a copy it can scan. In Enbox, a shared album is still end-to-end encrypted — the people you invite can see it, and no one else.

How a share works

Each album has its own content key. When you invite someone, we wrap that key to their public key — so the key travels encrypted and the server never holds a readable copy.

Sharing and privacy are not opposites. You just need the keys to move, not the plaintext.
